The conversation, even around music is pretty difficult to be honest. League tables and competition and wanting to be at some point of cool. Even though we've all left the playground a long time ago and know we have but still can't strip ourselves of those rules and help competing because we're conditioned to do so. Which brings me to Britney. Taylor Swift is just the next generational example. Though I don't really care for her work. But a lot of men in their forties and fifties will gather round the fire of songs like these and try to justify liking a particular song of this type which isn't representative of their general taste by saying that it's 'Perfect Pop', as if that means anything. Why not say you just like it? I like this!
