There are essentially two Jonathans to choose from. The early incarnation with the electrified and amplified Modern Lovers focused on suburbia and growing pains and the later, largely acoustic Jonathan who sang songs about chewing gum wrappers, U.F.Os and Ice Cream Men. It's not necessary to choose between them. They're both worthy of adoration.
