Nick Drake shows Lawrence what is possible. He tries to get Tom Verlaine to work wuth Felt but Verlaine replies that they require greater light and shade and turns down the offer.. The band fail to make the commercial and critical inroads Lawrence longs for and flirts with ridicule.
