'Pointed. Hilarious and therefore useful'
'Just make it chaotic.'
The words of Rotten and McClaren. 'Relevant to teenagers in any time' I bought this album in the eighties and probably listen to it every year at some point. It's divorced from its context. Some albums transcend their context. Sometimes the context is intrinsic to the lesson you're listening to. That's surely the case here.
The title was shocking at the time. The musicality comes from Matlock. Now it's strangely a nostalgia exercise. It's been much imitated but never better as a particular statement. A demand for change. And it inttigated change. You would find it quite impossible to count the ways.
