Their just released album Hide in Time is a record grounded on simple and beautiful principle. Tweve songs, half an hour. All predicated on basic winning formulas which have been working for similar minded beat combos since. The flood. Well perhaps I'm exagerrating a trifle but you know where I'm coming from.
Modern Lovers riffs an wan. three part harmonies. Small Intestines don't worry to complicate something that never needed complicating in the first place. They're alive, they're young, certainly at heart, know exactly what they want to do, do it and let it stand. All rather lovely frankly.
