Another instrumental record. After Craven Faults, which I'll be playing in its entirety for some while, I'm in the mood for them. This is from Oval, composer Markus Popp, who's been doing this, or similar things to this, since the Nineties.
Traditionally I've always been somewhat impatient with instrumental records that aren't Classical or Jazz ones. I got a bit impatient listening to this record, Romantiq. I was waiting for it to open up its wings and truly fly.
Unlike Craven Faults Standers it never truly does. It's a diverting record but never a truly wonderful one or one I'll book time to go and revisit. It's one for others.
