Definitely up there in terms of the new records I've heard in recent weeks. Sinkane, (a.k.a. Ahmed Gallab's) new record Life & Livin' is a very easy album to listen to and enjoy, all gently floating Afrobeat rhythms and positive sentiments. The man himself is friends with Damon Albarn and David Byrne so he doesn't particularly need my support, but he's got it anyhow.
