Now this takes me back to a PGCE, (teaching qualification), taken at Greenwich University in 1998. Late one night after a few beers with a colleague on the course, Ian and a friend who'd come to visit him, The friend, a Can fanatic, Ian a complete cynic on the subject. I played this and was virtually laughed out of the room by the pair of them on account of it's Hippie-Dippyish lyrcs.I was told by the friend that I couldn't be a Can fan if I'd chosen this. Meanwhile, it seemed to confirm all of Ian's worst prejudices about the band. Not typical of course. Its from the Soundtracks album when Malcolm Mooney was singer before Damo Suzuki joined. Still, seventeen years later, I'd stand by it.
