I've just been seen a jazz band on my way back home and realised for the first time that this was a jazz standard originally. I don't know who did the definitive version. But I think I'd prefer this even if I heard it. Quite a spooky thing. I might have posted it as song of the day but I generally do those in the morning and this is a song that must be heard at night. Also it's on Rosie's jukebox and must be played occasionally when the mood is right..
