As good as it gets. Pocket tragedies, none of them over three minutes long. Teen melodrama from the early to mid-sixties where the emotion being felt is intensified to mythical levels where nothing matters except the heartbreak being experienced by the protagonists singing. They died a thousand deaths on separate recordings getting that across. So influential to artists ever since looking to do intense. Haven't you ever felt this way? It's teenage, of course it is, but there's incredible purity in terms of the sheer feeling communicated. I started at ten, then went to twelve and finished at fifteen. Pretty much everything on the compilation I've got.
