Sometimes its in the name. Shouldn't a band called Spooky Tooth from the late Sixties and rolling into the Seventies be worth listening to. This has an imperious flow and drag to it that makes you yearn for the times. There's something slightly messianic about the whole record which is frankly.
Spooky Tooth were from Carlisle which is also greatly commendable and also put out albums on Island and were produced by Jimmy Miller which are also badges of note. This is incredibly soulful and engaging.
