250 Albums- An Arbitrary Rumble Through My Record Collection # 65 UB 40 - UB44

It's always curious what people don't like. I had a conversation with a record store owner who said that the band that were beyond the pale for him were UB 40, He didn't care for Reggae much but it still seemed strange for me as UB 40 had been one of the mainstays for myself and my best friend in real time as we headed through the Teen years.

Listening through to UB44 now there's a certain dour Black Country intensity that strikes, You can sense the melancholic monochrome qualities of those years. The band didn't really do 'celebratory' before the Labelled With Love album. Much of this appears to be shadow boxing. Running on the spot;
