Brooklyner Nora Brown releases her third album, Long Time To Be Gone and it's a cracker. .Recorded at the historic St. Anne's Church in Brooklyn Heights, it finds her playing traditional Appalchian style instrumentals and different instruments too, mostly banjoes, but singing into the bargain.
It's a rich, spacey record that makes great use of the acoustic opportunities which St. Anne provides. Best sit down, put on a set of headphones and revel in it as soon as you can. Who needs mindfulness.
