Seasoning hail from Brisbane, a city destined inevitably to be remembered as the birthplace as the birthplace of the legendary, if legendarily unsuccessful commercially, Go Betweens.
They sound very much like them too. Certainly on latest EP The Condensation.The songs herein sound incredibly similar to that band's signature Wild Mercury Sound. It's clear that GBs are their primary formative influence.
Not that it really matters, this is an incredibly good record. If the fact that its evident debt necessarily takes the edge off the listening pleasure slightly, it's still well worth hearing and appreciating on its own merits.
