Chicago band Bnny take the Velvet Underground's fhird album as their departure point on debut album Everything . Given that they have a female songer they sprinkle in a bit of Mazzy Star ennui into the mix but shift the feel from the desert loss to urban gloom.
There's not much here that's unexpected given that basic modus operandi. 'I haven't been happy in years' the singer intones at a certain point. This is rather glass half empty stuff but has a certain claustrophobic charm and there are some highly sparky moments of promise.
