The first Byrd to get chucked from the nest. Or perhaps he flew. For whatever reason, it was certainly due to band tensions, partially perhaps because the other band members were jealous of his increased songwriter credits and salary in their early days while they learned their chops. All is rumour and gossip at this distance. Regardless, his early Byrd songs are things of beauty and I'll be listening to those first few albums today!
