Not a genuine Second World War song but a pastiche of the kind that Flanagan did record back then with Chesney Allen. Great tune! Probably only makes complete sense if you were brought up British in the incredible nostalgia for this most fragile of historical moments. Theme tune for probably the most popular British comedy of all time Dad's Army.
