All you can hope for when listening to a new record is a profound listening experience. It's not a rare occurence in my experience which is why I perservere with this task which is still not a trial even after thirteen years at the wheel of It Starts With a Birthstone as we close in into the darkness on another Christmas.
Lily Seabird's Lighsphere's on Their Way is uncanny enchantment . Her voice and lyrical feints made me feel I was on a turning road twisting away in the darkness into the winding night as I listened to it at my desk in Newcastle on a Saturday night glancing out into the evening at the sparse evening traffic. There's wonder here and no little risk and daring.
