John Prine died recently and was much mourned by those in the know..The cool set who buy every issue of Uncut Magazine and don't mind that they put Bruce Springsteen on the cover every other month..Myself , I've moved towards C&W over the course of a lifetime but I wear a Pork Pie hat not a Stetson and will never go to Nashville.
I loved listening to this just now. There's a sadness and a joy and an understanding of the ways of the human heart as well as the way that C & W needs to operate and keep going forward rather than always looking backwards,
