Nostalgia ain't what it used to be, You'd better not believe it, Nostalgia is one of the primary driving forces of the Twentieth First Century. For someone like me, coming towards his sixties who has a flat full of records and spends his days listening to music. My primary intention of posting something new folks might like listening to every day, this nostalic urge is a great resource and source of joy.Joy to the World.
Spot the influence becomes a party game. Who has this band or artist been listening to. Chicago's Starbender is a great case in point. Latest album Social Engineering is a pick and mix of great Rock sounds from our mutual past. AOR radio good time Rock & Roll. An opportunity to get the roof down and put the foot full down on the accelerator and head out on the great American highway.
Power Pop and Grunge Lite. A well rehearsed Rock & Roll band who make the meat and potatoes option on offer at the local dinery seem like an attractive option. This is a great album to sit back and listen to for anyone with time for Cheap Trick, Foo Fighters.and Ty Segall, A record for people who like nothing more than listening to great Pop and Rock records.
