I didn't immediately find much that appealed on my intial browse through New Release playlists late on Friday and early on Sunday morning. Patience as they say is a virtue. I'm starting to chance upon some good records.
Ok Cowgirl's debut Couldn't Save Us From My Mind among them. They hail from, you got it, Brooklyn, and specialise in emotive Indie dreaming of a rather endearing hue.
This is generic soul searching, but it's not afraid to feel and in a world that seems to be surrendering to heartlesness this is good enough for me. Lead singer and songwriter Leah Lavigne is all heart and has a lovely voice. The band ring out the emotions with no little craft. I'll give it 8.
