I love the random quality of this process I've set into action by starting to write this blog on a daily basis. Waking up in the morning, sometimes with no idea what my Song of the Day will be. Plonkimg a virtual needle on a record' on a playlist with no idea what I'm going to listen to and embarking on a sea of sound. Into a universe.To boldly go...'

Sometimes I don't last very long. I'm old enough to know what I'm going to like. Today Peter Cat Recording Co. and their latest, BETA. It defines immediate categorisation. Between a kind of Jazz and Meta Spirituality Hippyism.

I lasted a few songs. I can relate to wat they do without wishing for a moment to join their commune. I wish them well. I moved on to Moby Grape - spiritual forebears. 

They're a band based in New Delhi who started their journey in San Francisco and headed for the stars. They may test your patience after a few tracks. I'm afraid they did mine. But while I was with them, I was quite taken. I wish them well.
