Emo Rock Band from Naarn Melbourne.Garage Sale strikes me as a good name for what they do on latest album Star Falls 2.It mines the sound of glum muttered elemnts of Grunge and the kind of Rock that it led to in the Nineties, Math Rock and all that. The Nineties were a troubled decade sonically in many respects.
So this isn't the cheeriest recotd you're going to hear all year. What Garage Sale do is never happy per se, but the kind of happiness troubled teens undergo when they stand under a black cloud in anticipation of it evacuating its load. They're so happy when it rains. They're good at what they do. They do it for people who like that thing.
