The Psychedelic Furs, had shifted their focus to the States by now, with considerable accumulation of their stock and capital. Unfortunately, for bands who tend to go this route in the early Eighties their credibility plummeted over here. The NME and Melody Maker lost interest.
But Mirror Moves was a melodic, imperious album, one of their best, with an incredible run of songs that all sounded like singles and though the 45s didn't chart high here they retain considerable mileage and impact forty years on.
