Rock 'N Roller Disco # 1 The Gibson Brothers

Top of the Pops was a weird ride in the late Seventies and into the early Eighties. The Punk and New Wave bands jostling for attention and chart space. Dance music, some of it slightly fatuous and ludicrous hedonism. Some of it completely fabulous. The sublime. And the utterly ridiculous. A lot of the compilations from that time reflect that chart madness.  Almost a schizophrenia of sorts .Here's one from my collection which reflects this incredible oddness Its last two tracks are Death Disco by Public Image Ltd and Lay Your Love on Me by the appalling Racey. As with all of these things it's best to start at the very beginning. With The Gibson Brothers. This came out on 1979. On Ronco.
