To tell the true story of 1982, you have to tell the story of the bandwagon bands. The ones who swept in on the tailcoats of the first wave of The New Romantics and didn't even have the looks or songwriting chops of Culture Club, Spandau Ballet, Visage or Duran Duran. The one hit wonders. I remember a couple in particular.

Blue Zoo and Classix Nouveau. I remember these from 1982. Fiction Factory came on a while later to put their own small dent in eternity. These bands were the ones that came and went, had their own moment of fame, then vanished back into the shadows.
