A Jon Savage compilation series has just finished so a new Bob Stanley one will commence. The two of them are the great archivers and anthologists of British Rock and Roll history. Here Stanley brings back memories the great British Summer of 1976. An event that nobody who experienced it will ever forget. A hazy series of months of sultry days that seemed to promise never to end. The music was not perhaps always the best but Stanley manages to make some of this appealing in some way too. The first track, Spike Janson's Walking So Free is not available so we'll start with Lyndsey. Sounds just about right.
