And while we're on the subject of sunny, It's Friday, so we're all at the very least relieved, whether we're in love or not. I've been listening to and watching this all week. Dean & Britta do a cover of the song which is actually very poor by their standards and sucks out the vim and verve of the wonderful Cure original, perhaps that band's last great recorded moment, from 1992's Wish. Some songs can't be slowed down. It's really written for the big man with the pancake hair, big hair and here, appropriately, a straitjacket to sing along with his troupe of goths. The wonderful video, directed by Tim Pope seals the deal.
