Cate Le Bon's album from this year Crab Day is no real advance on her previous record Mug Museum which is probably why it's # 47 rather than # 7 in this rundown. Still it's still a very pleasing exercise in Mad Aunt quirkiness. I'll be going to see her play in an intimate indie venue just before Christmas which should be a nice way to bring down a curtain on a year of gigs.
