The nights are closing in. The countdown is on. I seem to have nothing to do but spend my evenings listening t Blue Note Albums. Finally refining my actual knowledge of Jazz haveing listened to it for so many years in pretty much ignorance and counting down the days to Christmas.
Duke Jordanwas a Jazz pianist of the fist rank who passed at a good age. twenty years back. He was born in Brooklyn and died in Copenhagen. He played in the Charlie Parker Quinetet with Bird and Miles. From the mid Fifties he flew solo and also drove a taxi in New York City for a while in the Sixties.Flight To Jordan is as smooth, as beautiful and wonderful a ride as you could possibly want.
