Stay in your lane. One of the current adages which describes our culture. The Menzingers were sixteen once but they never will be again. No one's coming to save them so they head out on the road from their base in Scranton, Pennsylavania.
On latest album Everything I Ever Saw they resolutely stay in their lane. The one paved for them by the likes of Killers, Hold Steady, Japandroids. most obviously going back to The Boss. Much more Bruce than Patti.
This is all good stuff to plug into if you're heading out on the road this weekend. There's no pretension or restraint, Cultural comments is scattered like so much confetti from the window as the car speeds onwards into the day, Nothing really sticks or jars.
