Patti Smith - Bread of Angels

'Obstacles are our wings '- Gogol

Patti Smit can write. Like a dream frequently. I'm tucking in to Bread of Angels like it's a sumptuous dessert at the end of a leisurely New Years family meal. I was actually given the book before a leisurely New Year's family meal. So apt. This is immediately a treat.I feel like I'm in front of a crackling open fire in a country pub with no Back to Work Date envisioned.

We, start as so often at the very beginning. In Childhood. Patti unwraps a  lost and enchanted kingdom. Growing up in Post War Chicago. With loving parents and treasured  siblings. Jesus died for somebody's sins. But not hers. Every emotion is heightened and dramatic, She takes inspiration from her literary heroes and dances onwards
