Patti Smith - Bread of Angels # 3 Puccini

Patti Smith has probably been the most explicit and upfront figure in the whole history if Rock & Roll in terms of parading and celebrating her heroes and influence; literary, poetic, artistic, musical. She wants to push her audience and inspire them to create themselves.

The third passage of Bread of Angels takes Patti to 1959 and thirteen. She loves her siblings and parents but sees herself as a child apart. A sense of herself as an artist. She's a sickly child and her mother wonders aloud if she is going to 'make it.'.

She plots her search for inspiration for enchantment, her fixation on the young Dalai Lama and Tibet's plight, She's clearlyseeking her path. Music rarely gets a mention as of yet.
