A real bittersweet album to listen to, this one. It feels so long ago and not unnaturally given that I was young a more innocent time. ELO seemed slightly ridiculous at the time despite the incredible craftsmanship and skill of the songs. The facial hair. They didn't feel like the cool option. That was for sure. Now it draws you into the vortex of the past and it's almost impossible to cast a judgement on it in that it carries you back like a maguc carpet to the days when it first came out..
