The sort of slightly uneasy female Indie voice that's become commonplace in recent years. Buzzy Lee, who is also Stephen Spielberg's daughter evokes reminders of Soccer Mom, Kelly Lee Owens and Arlo Parks.
In her thirties now even though Internal Affairs is her debut album. She's also made a name for herself as an actress. It's an immediately likeable record, with traces of endearing vulnerability and honesty.
Family ties should get this listened to and it deserves to be because Lee has an understated Pop touch and a dramatic zeal which rewards attention.
