Truly oddball album from Toronto trio makes no concessions at all to the current vogue for Post Punk stuff with latest album Garden which makes a refreshing change. Instead this maps a route inspired it seems by the zanier altenative early Eighties guitar bands. It reminded me strangely of The Waitresses and the movie, Pretty in Pink..
It's all rather good fun though its a bit of a surprise hearing an album like this coming out in 2022 because it seems utterly devoid of cynicism or even much worldliness of any kind. All the more likeable for that.
