Darren Jones, consistent and valuable contributor to this blog, over several years now, comes up with the goods again. This time with a playlist of his recent listening which has led me to chance upon this just now.
Baby, the second album from Umea, Sweden band Duschpalatset is a small treat. Sung in their native tongue alternating between male and female singers which brings it a charming, childlike quality though it shows genuine teeth and bite sometimes.
.It's a defiantly 'indie' record and full of wonder and melody. A case of 'small is really rather beautiful'. Nice way to start the weekend.
