I know little about Cross Wires but if this is anything to go by, I'd like to know and hear some more. It sounds urgent and expresses an emotion and sound that needs expression. In the way Television Personalities, 999, Blur and XTC used to. Apt really, as the band take their name from a song from XTC's first album. The title of this, 24 Roehampton Street also resonates. Particularly for anyone, like me, who grew up in that atmospheric and absorbing part of the world. Hope there's more where this comes from. It's a dense and exciting sound.
