Posting on here every day I sometimes need some help. In times when I do, browsing round the Rough Trade website is as good a way as any to chance upon something new and unusual that I'll probably like.
That's very much the case with this lot. Son Rompe Pera a Mexico troupe formed around brothers who fuse the marimba with traditional guitar, bass, drums combination to brew up a proper storm.
This goes ahead of their debut album Batuco which drops next February. It's a riot and the promo which goes along with it and is well worth a watch too. Son Rompe Pera show plenty of attitude, flex their tattoos check out the record stalls and generally make you, or me at least, hungry to hear more.
