Albums of the Year 1979

One of the very greatest years for music I'd say. Though every year between 1977 and 1982 was rather wonderful. Here's the Top Ten for 1979 from the Best Ever Albums site:

1. London Calling - The Clash

2. Pink Floyd - The Wall

3. Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures

4. Gang of Four - Entertainment

5. Talking Heads - Fear of Music

6. Michael Jackson - Off The Wall

7. Supertramp - Breakfast in America

8. AC/DC - Highway to Hell

9. Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Rust Never Sleeps

10. Fleetwood Mac - Tusk

And here's mine from records I own. An impossible task really. Almost any of the Top Ten could be top on a different day of the week. Here's my list today. Comfortably making another Top 25 for this year, I truly love every one of the Top 20  and there are lots more great records from this year I don't own that could easily have made the list .
